12 Aam Admi
Party on Bhindranwale
birthday
The Aam
Aadmi Party core committee member Sanjay Singh
spoke out against a poster that had been
circulating on social media promoting the Sant
Bhindranwale birthday program at Fatehgarh Sahib
on February 12. Captain Amarinder Singh had
earlier made a comment against the poster
stating that AAP were following suit of
Simranjit Singh Mann and using the militancy
card in Punjab, to which Sanjay Singh responded
that the poster was not published by AAP and
they did not promote such programs. Another
status message is also going viral in which AAP
made some derogatory comments against Sant
Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale terming them as a
terrorist.
…………………………………..
Sant Jarnail
Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale, who has been awarded
as the greatest Sikh of the 20th Century was a
revolutionary icon in modern Sikh history and
his birth celebrations are celebrated in
February each year, much to the dismay of the
radical Hindu outfit Shiv Sena. This year is no
different and as the preparations took place,
the subject of Sant Jarnail Singh became a
talking point in Punjab politics again, as the
Aam Aadmi Party responded to allegations that
they had promoted the program, stating that they
have nothing to do with it or the ideology of
Sant Jarnail Singh. On the other hand the Shiv
Sena made similar statements and called for the
celebrations to be cancelled.
