NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party
today, addressing a press conference in Delhi,
rejected Imam Bukhari's appeal to Muslims to
support AAP in tomorrow's elections in Delhi.
Here are the highlights of
the AAP press conference:
·
Only a few hours remain before ballots
are cast in the Delhi polls: AAP member Ashutosh
·
AAP wants to clarify that we have no link
with Ahmad Shah Bukhari and we don't know why he
has come out in our support.
·
Everyone knows the communal nature of
Bukhari's politics and we don't need his
support.
·
He invited Pakistan's Prime Minister
instead of calling India's Prime Minister to his
son's 'dastarbandi'. We might not agree with the
PM but he is the Prime Minister of this country
and we must respect the office.
·
Aam Aadmi Party refuses to take the
support of Shahi Imam: Sanjay Singh
·
The kind of wave we have in Delhi, we
hope to get over 50 seats.
·
Aam Aadmi Party believes Shahi Imam has
supported different parties at different times,
AAP doesn't believe in his brand of politics. We
are against all forms of communalism.
·
A man who represents the worst side of
politics has come out in support of the Aam
Aadmi Party: Ashish Khetan
·
Today it became very clear that certain
political outfits and elements are trying to
polarize these elections.
·
AAP is a party that is setting new
benchmarks in Indian politics. We want to make
it clear that the Aam Aadmi Party is here to
fight against the sort of communal politics that
Ahmad Bukhari represents.
·
I would request Finance Minister Arun
Jaitley to please concentrate on making the
budget: AAP member Ashutosh
·
If the Finance Minister is more
interested in Delhi politics rather than making
the national budget, then I believe he is
harming the country.
