There were two rallies
under the Aam Aadmi Party banner at the Rakhar
Puniya fair in Baba Bakala in Amritsar district
on Saturday but only one of them was “official”.
Before they were suspended
on Saturday evening, AAP MPs Harinder Singh
Khalsa and Dharamvir Gandhi were part of a rally
held almost simultaneously with the official
rally led by AAP MPs Bhagwant Mann and Sadhu
Singh.
AAP’s Punjab convenor Sucha
Singh Chottepur alleged that the rally attended
by Gandhi and Khalsa was sponsored by the
Akalis. “The local Akali MLA not only had to
make arrangements for the SAD rally but he was
also responsible to make arrangements for the
rally organised by some miscreants under a fake
AAP banner.” The road leading to the Gandhi and
Khalsa rally, had posters of all four MPs
and Arvind Kejriwal.

“If they have organised
the rally, then they should have not used
pictures of Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann and
Sadhu Singh. Even by doing so, they have failed
in gathering a crowd. Kejriwal is supreme.
Whoever attempts to cross Kejriwal, will damage
their own political career,” Chhotepur said.
In the ‘parallel’ rally,
Khalsa alleged corruption in the party. “Money
power has been used to get positions in the
party. Elected MPs are not being consulted in
decisions. We will attempt to expose this to
Kejriwal,” he said.
Bhagwant Maan and Sadhu
Singh did not comment on the parallel rally and
instead trained their guns on the SAD
government.
