A scheduled meeting between Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar Thursday had to be cancelled after the latter did not make it to the meeting on time as he got stuck in a traffic snarl.

Scheduled to meet Kejriwal at 6 pm, Kumar, however, did not show up for an hour. CPI National secretary D Raja and his daughter Aparajita arrived at the Delhi Secretariat for the meeting with Kejriwal on time.

Speaking to reporters outside the Secretariat, Raja said, “Kumar could not reach on time as he got stuck in a traffic jam. By the time he reached near Supreme Court, the CM had already been waiting for nearly an hour. So they spoke over the phone and agreed to meet again, most likely on Saturday. Kejriwal had prior engagements regarding the upcoming budget so he could not wait any longer.”
